About Us
Dr. Lunden has been caring for individual and family needs throughout her lifetime. Dr. Lunden spent her early years growing and maturing in an extended
family network, caring for mentally and physically challenged individuals released from Letchworth Village or Willowbrook State School into family care in
upstate New York. Throughout Dr. Lunden’s academic experiences at private Christian universities, she received grants and academic scholarships, and was
employed in the mental health field gaining valuable experience and forgoing the need for student loans. While receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in
Psychology from Houghton College, she worked for the New York State Department of Developmental Disabilities and Mental Retardation. After receiving her
B.A. in 1993, she worked in a halfway house, and then with dually diagnosed adults in a group home. While pursuing a Master of Arts in Professional
Psychology at Geneva College, she worked with preschool boys diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families, teaching discrete trial training.
At this time, she was also employed in a residential treatment facility for children and adolescents, focusing on adolescent girls with eating disorders,
cutting behavior, as well as aggressive behavior toward others. She earned her Masters in Professional Psychology in 1998. Dr. Lunden has managed group
homes for dually diagnosed adults in Pennsylvania, directed a therapeutic foster care program for high profile cases in New York, and worked on a per diem
basis at Virginia Beach Psychiatric Center conducting group therapy and family therapy concentrating on the children’s unit, the women’s center, and the
drug/alcohol unit. Completing her academic training in 2005, she earned a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. In keeping with the importance of building
strong familial relationships, Dr. Lunden focused solely on raising her small children during their preschool years from 2005 – 2011. Dr. Lunden has a
private practice for the treatment of families and individuals, and uses her broad base of experience, knowledge, and vision to restore individuals and
families to mental health and wholeness.
